Insulated Concrete Blocks
WHAT IS IT
High quality insulated blocks produced to conform to the requirements of BS 6073 and local order No 44:1990 of Dubai Municipality specifications. High care is taken on concrete mix design as per local order No: 44:1990.
Raw material sourcing is done from one of the best quarries that use international technology and all aggregates are tested for precise specific gravity sieve analysis impact value, elongation and flakiness index etc. AACP uses very special size coarse and fine aggregates for best quality material output (stipulated potable water, free from all sediments and dissolved or suspended matter is used for concrete mixing.
AACP’s sophisticated laboratory facilities, accredited by DCLD are used to carry out checks on all incoming raw materials and finished products.
AACP insulated blocks are available in sizes from 8” to 12” with a compressive strength of 3.2 N/mm2 and 7.5 N/mm2 above.
WHERE CAN IT BE USED
Thermal Insulated Blocks are used for outer walls of the buildings to provide insulation from high temperatures thereby reducing the need for air conditioning. Higher thickness of the block will lead to increased insulation thereby reducing energy consumption.
WHY IS IT GREEN
AACP developed insulated concrete blocks with 25%, 50% and 75% recycled aggregates. AACP also pioneered the usage of supplementary cementitious materials like GGBS / Fly Ash which are industrial wastes, and can replace cement (an environmentally polluting material) up to a defined percentage.
Modifying the surface finish of AACP Blocks to give a paint grade finish can eliminate the need for plastering thereby saving cement and other construction materials. However, the aesthetic aspect needs to be considered at the design stage itself.
OTHER INFORMATION
All AACP blocks can be made in Normal Weight and Light Weight variants based on the customer’s specific requirements.
