WHAT IS IT
State of the art wood windows and patio doors with clad exterior surfaces that are protected against the elements. The units are manufactured, boxed, labeled and shipped complete with high performance glazing, hardware, insect screens, and architrave options that are in keeping with the project specifications.
All Andersen products are manufactured in the United States and come with an international product warranty against manufacturing defects for 20 years against seal breakage, and 10 years for all other components. The Andersen 400 Series product portfolio includes casement, awning, double hung, gliding style operable windows, and patio doors with a selection of inswing, outswing, bi-parting, and bi-folding styles.
WHERE CAN IT BE USED
Windows and patio doors for housing and residential projects, golf or other theme resorts, gated community projects, hospitality, institutional, commercial projects and wherever the project specifications demand a low maintenance, high thermal and SHGC performance windows from an environmentally responsible manufacturer, at an economy of scale value. Andersen products are designed to withstand the rigors of extreme conditions from desert to arctic weather conditions.
WHY IS IT GREEN
Almost all the components used in the 400 Series are recyclable. The wood that is used in Andersen 400 Series is harvested from new growth pine, a renewable natural resource with an excellent thermal insulation value. Andersen is a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has received Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody certification. As a charter member of USGBC Andersen is a strong supporter of its LEED Green Building Rating System. Selecting the Andersen 400 Series can significantly contribute to achieving USGBC LEED Materials & Resources Credits.
OTHER INFORMATION
Products with standard size and options have a manufacturing lead time of 10 work days plus transit time to the project site –regardless of the project volume. The Andersen optional SmartSunTM Low-E glass is the most energy efficient glass ever offered by Andersen, rejecting unwanted solar heat to help reduce cooling costs and block 95% of UV rays that can cause furnishings to fade – all while providing a clear view.
