NeoporŪ
WHAT IS IT
Innovative, expandable Polystyrene Foam enriched with graphite, which reflects infrared radiation. Foams made of Neopor are silver grey They afford an especially good thermal performance.
With Neopor the effect of heat radiation by means of infrared absorbers or infrared reflectors is neutralized for the first time by the insulation material itself.
WHERE CAN IT BE USED
- Thermal insulation of flat roofs and pitched roofs
- Internal insulation and ceiling insulation
- Insulation of external walls , especially EIFS
- Floor insulation
- ICFs – insulating concrete forms
- Impact sound insulation and more …
WHY IS IT GREEN
Very good thermal conductivity (0,032-0,035 W/mēK ) which means huge energy savings during the life time of a building for room conditioning if this material is used as insulation material for an building envelope
Up to 20 % improved insulation effect versus conventional EPS.
Neopor is an extremely cost- and eco-efficient insulation material.
It enables improved insulation and significant material savings. It is easy to handle and used in various applications.
By using BASF's “Verbund-Technology", surplus energy from other production processes is utilized to produce Neopor Beads, savings of primary energy in a big scale are realized.
Unused material can be shredded and and taken back with a certain percentage to the production process for new Neopor blocks or ICF's.
Material reuse after project demolition:
In case the building can be properly dismanteled, the insulation products made from Neopor can be reused as insulation products if free of other materials. If no propper dismanteling is possible, even the broken and/ or unused materials can be shreddered and reused to convert new Neopor blocks. In case material can not be properly recovered for recycling it can be used for energy recovery in incineration plants.
OTHER INFORMATION
- Low weight,
- Low water absorption.
- Neopor Foam is certified according to DIBT , CSTB , CEN , EOTA and DIN standards.
