WHAT IS IT

EFG’s products portfolio is further strengthened with the Reflective Glass range manufactured by coating metal oxides onto molten glass during manufacturing. Commonly known as “hard” or “Online” coatings, EFG reflective glass comes with better coating durability and spectro-photo metric performances.

Coated on clear or tinted subtracts, the products are designed to cut down undesirable heat gain through windows and glazing while offering a smooth mirror like finish towards the exteriors. EFG reflective glass allows longer shelf life and are very process friendly compared to sputter coated reflective products.

The product range has been designed to cater the rising demand of energy saving float glass products design whilst combining features for occupant comfort and privacy.

WHERE CAN IT BE USED

Float Glass finds its way through various secondary processing, such as; heat treatment, Lamination and institution to Door, Window and Glazing Applications both for the building and automotive industry, the value added online coated glass with metal oxide coatings are primarily used for commercial and residential building applications to achieve lower solar heat gain, glare control and also to cut down harmful UV radiations into the interiors.

WHY IS IT GREEN

• EFG manufacturing process batch materials contain approximately 20% recycled glass (known as cullet). Almost all of the unused glass produced is recycled into production as cullet into the batch material.
• EFG provides glass products to numerous fabricators with locations throughout GCC, capable of providing a manufacturing point within 500 miles of most every project location. EFG glass manufacturing plants are located in a strategic location to reduce the environmental impacts resulting from transportation.
