The roots of Pittsburgh Corning go way back to the 1930th in the United States.
Two American companies, Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company and Corning Glass Works, both leading companies in the American glass industry, founded Corning Corporation in 1937. During the next decades, the industrial group acquired an immense know-how and an extraordinary expertise in the industrial usage of glass as such.
In 1962, a branch was founded in Europe, and a production unit was constructed on the Belgium company site. Nowadays, Pittsburgh Corning Europe is represented in all major European countries and actually employs about 450 people.
FOAMGLAS® products are manufactured in the production facilities of Tessenderlo (Belgium), Schmiedefeld (Germany) and Klàsterec (Czech Republic).
In 2006, Pittsburgh Corning Europe (Representative Office - Middle East) was established in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pittsburgh Corning Europe which offers a wide service which includes sales and technical support, design and on-site technical training.
Pittsburgh Corning Europe (Representative Office - Middle East)’s Employees and Representatives located in all parts of the GCC are trained to support the Architects, Consultants, Developers and Clients with modern solutions for thermal insulation problems.
All the technical, sales, and marketing activities are being controlled from the main office in Dubai, where the first contacts of inquiries are being handled.
