What is it
Gyproc CoreBoard is a 19mm thick version of Gyproc FireStop MR board. It consists of an aerated gypsum core with glass fibre, water repellent and other additives encased in and firmly bonded to strong moisture resistant green colour paperliners.
Where can it be used
Gyproc CoreBoard is used as the main board in the Gyproc ShaftWall system to provide fire protection with temporary moisture protection during construction. Can be finished using Gyproc Fibre Tape or Gyproc Paper Tape and Gyproc Jointing Compound. Suitable for Direct decoration.
Why is it green
Gyproc plasterboards are made in the UAE in a state of the art, energy efficient, facility that opened in April 2010. Sustainability is a key priority for Gyproc which is why all Gyproc plasterboards are encased in paper that is 100% recycled.
In addition Gyproc consistently review plant performance and have reduced water consumption, introduced energy optimisation and now utilise waste heat from the manufacturing process elsewhere in the factory. Gyproc plasterboards can be recycled at end of life.

- British Standard BS1230 – Type 3, 4 & 5
- European Standard EN520 – Type D, F & H1
- American Standard ASTM C1396 – Type X & Section 7
